Deuce-The Therapy Dog

He's Big! He's Strong! He's Handsome! He's Passionate! He's so lovable but not very bright! No- I 'm not talking about my sister's old boyfriend! I'm describing Deuce, the boxer- world's best Therapy Dog. He has all the above characteristics plus a genuine love of people. He is so happy around people that not only does his little tail stub shake- his whole rear vibrates- a real wiggle bum.
Peggy takes Deuce to nursing homes, hospital, and grade schools. Children like to read stories to the dogs and patients love the attention. I have provided a link to therapy dogs which is quite interesting-or just google them.
Deuce loves his routine. He sits in the front seat of the SUV and always wears his seat belt. once arriving at the institution, he gets a little excited seeing the other dogs, people, etc. but soon settles into his diplomatic role. You would think he was a politician running for office as he works the room. One elderly woman was making a big fuss over him and she put her face close to his. His tongue is like a paint roller and he slurped her from ear to ear glasses and all. She shrieked with delight. I don't know who gets the most joy- the handler, the dog or the "patient"!
