These are the Good Old Days

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said," It is a happy talent to know how to play"!   Aristotle said," Happiness depends upon ourselves"!
I just experienced one of my "Happiest Times"-camping in the mountains with my son and his three children.  We did it all: rode ATV'S through creeks and mud; picked blueberries, floated in the river, cooked out, shot bb guns,
, and peed in the woods.

The next six posts share our adventure-enjoy!

Clearfield County's Best Cabin

Our friend Dennis invited us to spend a few days at his cabin-built on one of the tributaries of the Susquehanna River. It is "old school" with no running water  and an outhouse. The girls were fascinated with the outhouse.  One said, "when you tinkle, it goes way down"!

"Driving" in the river

First you T off into the river-next is the fun part-wading in and retreiving the balls (most of them).

Mountain trails and creek crossings

The trails are great and you can stop and take a cool dip-swinging on a "Tarzan" rope.

Log Cabin Lunch Break

Our friend, Dennis owns two cabins-this one is terrific!
